Thousands expected at Power Plant Live! for The Big Dill's sixth annual celebration

Big Dill Pickle Festival 2023 at Power Plant Live

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Big Dill, a national pickle-themed festival that originated in Baltimore, will take over Power Plant Live! on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 for its sixth annual celebration.

As part of its nationwide “In My Pickle Era” tour, the two-day event promises a weekend of outrageous food, live entertainment, and all things pickled—just in time for the Ravens’ Monday Night Football game.

Since its launch in 2019, The Big Dill has grown from a local curiosity to a viral phenomenon, amassing over 1.2 million fans and drawing pickle enthusiasts from across the country.

Despite its national reach, organizers say Baltimore remains the festival’s heart and soul.

“Baltimore is where The Big Dill started, and it’s still the most electric stop on the tour,” said Kevin Baxter, Co-Founder of The Big Dill, via press release. “This city shows up big, and every year we bring more food, more energy, and more chaos to match it.”

More than 10,000 attendees are expected to flood the Inner Harbor-adjacent venue, where they’ll find unlimited pickle tastings from top national and regional brands inside “Pickle Row.”

Food vendors are going all-in on pickle innovation—from Frank’s Pizza & Pasta’s viral pickle pizza to Queen City Creamery’s cult-favorite pickle ice cream.

Other offerings include deep-fried pickle egg rolls from Crossroads Bistro, pickle fries from Fuzzies Burgers, and “bacon on a stick” from JD’s House of Bacon, led by a former Orioles chef.

For the 21+ crowd, a full menu of creative cocktails awaits, including frozen pickle margaritas, spicy pickle bloody marys, pickle cider, and the iconic Original Pickle Shot.

Entertainment is just as bold as the food. Headlining the festival’s main stage is country-rock band Triple Rail Turn, with DJs turning up the heat at the Electric Pickle RAVE—an immersive experience featuring lasers, cryo blasts, dancing mascots, and confetti storms.

This year also marks the debut of Pickle Up!, a live game show where guests compete in on-stage challenges.

Families will find plenty to do with rock climbing, carnival games, axe throwing, face painting, and character appearances from The Oriole Bird, Poe the Raven, and mascots Dilly the Pickle and Dillon from the Portland Pickles.

Tickets are available now at www.bigdill.com/maryland, with VIP, Early Entry, Premium, and Standard Admission tiers available while supplies last.
